About the larp<\/h1>\n

State of Infection is a Finnish Style LARP about social classes, fate and decisions in the middle of crisis. The larp is story driven with pre-written characters who have backgrounds, plots and a network of contacts.<\/p>\n

We want our players to think about social structures and power structures. Characters can not save the world, they can not resolve the situation. For most characters, the larp will end in their (coming) death.<\/p>\n

State of Infection is a journey. Characters step inside the evacuation capsule and can affect only what happens inside of this group. They can hear what happens outside of their own capsule and the tiny quarantine building where they will spend the next 24 hours, but their decisions have no effect on things in greater scale. Based on previous runs we expect this to be an emotional experience for the players.<\/p>\n

Themes: social class, social power, religion, social structures, inequality, purity, infection, sickness, being an outsider, death<\/em><\/p>\n

In the State of Infection there is no such thing as gender. Pronouns for characters are they\/them and in few specific cases it\/those. This is not a larp about gender or sexual orientation, but we wish to give players a chance to explore the world without gender.<\/p>\n

Inequality between people of different genetic background is a major theme though, and attitudes against the Tainted can be seen as very racist. If you don\u2019t want to play racist themes, this may not be the larp for you.<\/p>\n
